Senior Lab Analyst (Microbiology)
Salary: £52-64k

Analyse and optimise pathology laboratory workflows, focusing on microbiology. Support staff in utilising Laboratory Information System (LIS) software, provide training, and offer insights for software enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Understand pathology lab practices and LIS software thoroughly.
• Collaborate with lab personnel and developers to align software capabilities with lab needs.
• Provide Level 2 support for LIS software users.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate requirements to development teams.
• Assist in diagnosing software issues and gathering enhancement requirements.
• Support verification and validation teams to ensure customer needs are met.
• Provide guidance on software clinical risk to project teams.
• Translate end user requirements into actionable software features.
• Develop training materials and represent the company at conferences.
• Build expert knowledge in LIS software configuration and setup.
• Foster relationships with lab personnel to enhance technology adoption.
• Deliver results by understanding and communicating lab needs effectively.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in pathology laboratory, specifically in microbiology.
• 5+ years knowledge of LIS software.
• Understanding of laboratory health and safety.
• Ability to capture user requirements effectively.
• Awareness of current trends in pathology laboratory practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
