Senior Lab Analyst (Microbiology) Salary: £52-64k 9 day fortnight
Analyse and optimise pathology laboratory workflows, focusing on microbiology. Support staff in utilising Laboratory Information System (LIS) software, provide training, and offer insights for software enhancement.
Responsibilities
Understand pathology lab practices and LIS software thoroughly.
Collaborate with lab personnel and developers to align software capabilities with lab needs.
Provide Level 2 support for LIS software users.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate requirements to development teams.
Assist in diagnosing software issues and gathering enhancement requirements.
Support verification and validation teams to ensure customer needs are met.
Provide guidance on software clinical risk to project teams.
Translate end user requirements into actionable software features.
Develop training materials and represent the company at conferences.
Build expert knowledge in LIS software configuration and setup.
Foster relationships with lab personnel to enhance technology adoption.
Deliver results by understanding and communicating lab needs effectively.
Requirements
5+ years experience in pathology laboratory, specifically in microbiology.
5+ years knowledge of LIS software.
Understanding of laboratory health and safety.
Ability to capture user requirements effectively.
Awareness of current trends in pathology laboratory practice.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Degree in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
