Have you worked in a client facing role within Business Development, Account Management, Product Management or Software Consultancy role with a commercial focus?
We are working with an award-winning software development house based in Northern Ireland to recruit for a Technical Account Manager or Commercial Lead for their team.
This is a hybrid role that needs someone with a strong grasp of the software development life cycle who can engage with prospective clients to gather requirements, create compelling solution proposals and help to close deals.
If you are someone with a solid grasp of technology, strong communication skills and a desire to work on the commercial side of growing a business, this could be the role for you!
The Company
Our client delivers beautifully designed custom software products and platforms. They offer software solutions across the full software development life cycle and work with a range of clients, from promising tech start-ups through to leading public and private sector organisations.
The Role

  • Requirements Gathering: engage with prospective clients to really get to the heart of the software they need developed and find the “why” behind their needs.
  • Tenders & Bids: collaborate with pre-sales team on the development of successful tender applications.
  • Pipeline Management: identify and nurture opportunities through initial engagement right through to project engagement and beyond.
  • Brand Ambassador: as a key point of contact for the organisation, represent the company brand in like with company values at events, conferences and meetings.
  • Reporting: keep on top of pipeline administration and reporting to monitor and track performance against agreed targets. 
  • Commercial Success: working as part of a cohesive team, ensure consistent flow of new deals for the business.

Required Experience

  • Experience working in a client facing role in software solutions, product management, delivery management, business analyst, software consultant
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients to understand their needs and propose compelling solutions
  • Commercial exposure with the ability to close deals with prospective clients
  • Team Work and the ability to work with pre-sales, software engineering account management and senior leadership teams.
  • Self-started with the drive to succeed in a competitive marketplace
  • Passion for technology and the ability to stay on top of market trends
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Hubspot CRM preferred
  • Access to transport
