Staff Mobile Engineer

Permanent, Belfast

Enso Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Mobile Engineer to join a dynamic team in the Belfast area where you will build and evolve the next generation of a consumer app used by millions worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and architecture of our mobile apps.
• Write and review technical design documents for new applications and features.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other Software Engineers to deliver new functionality and iterative improvements to our mobile apps.
• Implement efficient, scalable, and reusable components and features.
• Participate in code reviews with other engineers to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Share your knowledge and expertise with other engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues to optimize the performance of our mobile apps.
• Focus on application performance and monitoring to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Participate in the on-call engineering rotation to provide support and maintain the reliability of our mobile apps.

Essential Criteria:

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience building and maintaining large-scale mobile apps.
• Demonstrated experience using React Native, React, or similar frameworks.
• Detailed knowledge of industry best patterns for architecting and organizing mobile apps.
• Experience optimizing native app performance for mobile devices.
• High attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work concurrently on multiple projects.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desired Criteria:

• Experience working with React Native.
• Experience in working with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling, such as Amazon Web Services, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
