The Tech

You can expect to see technologies such as Python, Django, Chef, Ruby, Docker, Packer, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Memcached, Nodejs, AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, CloudFront, Fargate, Lambda), etc. plus others for packaging, integrations, tooling, and platform support services.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of product and technical asks
• Work alongside Sr engineers to build, review and test features
• Produce designs, documentation, and proposals for implementing solutions
• Ownership of design, review, development, test, release, and support applications
• Identifying bugs, prioritising, and rolling fixes to address
• Providing mentorship and guidance to Graduate and Associate engineers.
• Ensure software is up to date with latest technologies
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

The Person

• Technical background and some experience working at graduate or software engineering level
• Hands on experience in software development and scripting
• Familiar with software design and development concepts
• Hands on experience of modern OO or functional programming languages e.g. Python, Java, Scala, C#, C++
• Some knowledge of modern cloud platforms e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
