Senior Mobile Developer

Enso Recruitment are thrilled to be working alongside a global insurance provider, as they search for a Senior Mobile Developer to join their team. You will have the agility of a start-up and the support of a global business as the team you will work in has been specially set up to deliver on a bespoke suite of products.

You will be joining a team heavily focused on data and analytics, working a project assisting people in their daily lives, developing exceptional mobile products, and growing a great career!

On a day to day basis, you will:

• Be involved in the design and development of advanced applications for an Android platform.
• Provide mentoring to more junior members of the team.
• Interact with developers across various disciplines, outside of your team.
• Take ownership, and lead the delivery of large-scale components and platform needs, alongside other senior software engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and offer guidance on best engineering practices.
• Be a part of a culture focused on collaboration, innovation and improvement.

Essential requirements:

To be considered for an interview for this position, you MUST meet ALL the following criteria.

• Minimum 5 years experience in Android development
• Experience with continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins)
• Previous experience using Gradle
• Experience in networking using Java
• Experience designing relational databases
• Good working knowledge of version control principles
• Previous experience releasing and working on more than one application
• Good Kotlin knowledge
• Previous exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with QA testing and practices
• Exceptional communication skills
