Our client is a well-established software house based in the heart of Belfast. Having recently transitioned to a 4-day week working model, they are currently recruiting for a QA Engineer for their team.
The User Acceptance Team (UAT) plays a key role in validating software delivered by our Agile engineering organisation via user-centric testing. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in an agile environment and is ready to take on new challenges whilst building the next wave of QA solutions within a small, highly technical and very nimble team at the heart of the business. The role provides an opportunity to work with our cutting edge, patented data migration technology in conjunction with major cloud platforms provided by Amazon, Microsoft and Google. This makes for a unique opportunity in a uniquely positioned and growing company.
The Role
Conduct manual and automation UAT testing of and reporting on GA product releases.
Conduct manual exploratory testing of the product to assist high-value customers.
Develop complex integration test cases based on formal and informal requirements, debug and isolate bugs and drive to resolution.
Build and maintain automated coverage and tools to allow the UAT team to maintain high efficiency and output
Key Qualifications
Strong understanding of how modern automation and manual testing practices fit within the end to-end development lifecycle
Proficiency using Linux and the Linux command line or Unix is essential.
Experience in creating and managing automation within CI/CD solutions, such as Jenkins and Maven.
Strong coding skills in Java
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
