About the role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Network Technical Services Engineer to join our team in Belfast. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, management, maintenance, and support of our enterprise-scale network infrastructure, perimeter security systems, and network management platforms. You will also be responsible for driving continuous service improvements with our Infrastructure Hosting estate.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain network and security infrastructure, including LAN/WAN/WLAN/Firewalls/Application Delivery Controllers.
• Have experience with Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, NetScaler technologies.
• Implement new systems and improve existing ones based on changing demands.
• Liaise with various departments and 3rd party suppliers to support, maintain, and implement systems.
• Manage business system data, including Disaster Recovery systems.
• Control and support Internet access.
• Monitor core network systems in the Network Operations Centre.
• Visit datacentres for hardware and software maintenance and installation.
• Provide 24/7 support.

Skills and experience:

• Broad knowledge of datacentre network disciplines and network technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN management.
• Good understanding of firewalls and IT networks infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and resolve problems in a busy environment.
• Proven ability to resolve incidents in the customer's network environment.
• Good understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes and procedures.
• Experience in troubleshooting techniques to determine root cause.

Desired skills and experience:

• Excellent understanding of Aruba network technologies, with vendor certifications desirable.
• Understanding of storage networks and datacentre technologies.
• Experience with Fortinet network security equipment.
• Experience with Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
• Experience with HPE Synergy Virtual Connect.
• Experience with service provider or enterprise network environments.
• Experience or understanding of common routing protocols.
