For the purpose of defending their customers and their data from a variety of swiftly changing and evolving threats, our client is currently establishing an industry-leading cyber security team in Belfast.
As a Network Security Engineer, you will be helping to design and implement secure systems. Using techniques such as threat modelling, defence in depth and zero across Azure cloud technologies as the company scales internationally and moves to serverless systems. You will be a part of a high functioning, forward-thinking and motivated team, with the ability to work on critical products.
Your Day to Day
Contribute and oversee network security policies
Own the configuration of critical security controls e.g DDOS protection, firewalls and cloud native variations
Deploying, monitoring and maintaining security controls such as firewalls (along with overseeing firewall changes)
Participating in regular security control testing such as penetration testing
Ensure that vulnerabilities are removed in a timely manner
Work with multiple teams and communicate your expertise across the organisation
Create future state and current state architecture blueprints and diagrams
Who You Are
5 year’s experience with securing networks
5 years experience with systems administration such as Linux and Windows Server Operating systems
Experience with cloud native security technologies such as Azure components (App Gateways, Azure Firewalls etc)
Experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems
Technical automation experience
Experience with designing, testing and configuring key network components with experience of designing networks to be resilient against cyber attacks
Well versed in secure coding standards, current attack tactics, and MITRE Attack framework
CISSP or CISA qualification is nice to have
