At the forefront of this has been their training team, a band of software junkies who live and breathe all things software, and who teach, advocate and mentor into some of the world’s best known technology brands.

But the joys of success means more work, and so, they are looking for a new trainer (or aspiring trainer) to join their growing team. To be open, this is a demanding role, requiring a heady mix of learning, advocating, teaching, marketing, organising, conferencing, researching, developing, and much more besides.

Instil’s training team never stands still. There is a constant need to respond to the latest shifting sands of technology, but the returns are enormous. Not only do you get to play with the latest technologies on a daily basis, you have the opportunity to nurture and grow the next generation of software engineers, globally.

• Delivering a variety of seminars, workshops and training courses. All covering intermediate to advanced topics in Software Engineering
• Participating in meet-ups and conferences as both an organiser and a speaker. Plus mentoring senior developers on how to do the same
• Creating content for workshops and training courses. Ranging from code examples and exercises to videos and custom graphics

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the software industry
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Completed a degree or post-graduate qualification in computer science or software engineering
• Keen to learn new technologies and passionate about passing on your knowledge to the next generation
• High level of expertise in multiple programming languages and a deep understanding of Object Oriented and Functional Programming
• Eligible to live and work in the UK

• Great interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• An excellent understanding of Agile development concepts (clean code, automated testing, CI, etc)
• Client facing and presentation experience
• Evidence of having contributed to continual education through coaching, speaking at developer events or volunteering at coding clubs.
• We are fully open to the role being either a full-time teaching role or a mix of project work and workshop delivery. So, even if you want to teach part-time, let’s chat.
