The Head of Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving the proactive growth by identifying strategic business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and leading the development and execution of the business development strategy. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship management, and an understanding of the software development industry.
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Identify new market opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
Collaborate with the delivery and technical teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Develop and implement effective sales tactics, pitch strategies, and negotiation techniques.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor activities.
Analyse and interpret data to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, bids, and contracts.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure favourable outcomes for both the company and clients.
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing business development team.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the team.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the software development or SaaS industry.
Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends and make informed business decisions.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
