Enso Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and innovative software company, built and based in Belfast. As they continue to grow and expand their reach, our client are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join their team as the Head of Business Development.

The Head of Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving the proactive growth by identifying strategic business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and leading the development and execution of the business development strategy. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship management, and an understanding of the software development industry.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
    • Identify new market opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
    • Collaborate with the delivery and technical teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
    • Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
    • Develop and implement effective sales tactics, pitch strategies, and negotiation techniques.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor activities.
    • Analyse and interpret data to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
    • Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, bids, and contracts.
    • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure favourable outcomes for both the company and clients.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing business development team.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the software development or SaaS industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends and make informed business decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
