Job Title: Senior Guidewire Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Guidewire Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Guidewire Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Guidewire applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Guidewire suite, possess strong analytical skills, and be proficient in guiding and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guidewire Application Development: Design, develop, and implement complex Guidewire applications to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of Guidewire solutions. Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and coding standards.

  3. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements, ensuring the successful translation of these requirements into technical specifications.

  4. Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Guidewire applications to meet specific business needs. Ensure adherence to best practices and guidelines in customization efforts.

  5. Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and proper documentation. Collaborate with the team to continuously improve code quality.

  6. Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner. Collaborate with support teams to address and resolve production issues.

  7. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, coding standards, and release notes. Ensure documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.

  8. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Apply new knowledge and skills to enhance the development process.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  2. Proven experience as a Guidewire Developer, with at least [X years] of experience in Guidewire application development.

  3. Strong proficiency in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter. Certification in Guidewire is a plus.

  4. Expertise in Java/J2EE development, web services, and database technologies.

  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  6. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  7. Leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.

  8. Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  10. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
