Digital Forensics and Incidence Response Consultant

Summary:

The Digital Forensics and Incident Response consultant is responsible for leading and managing the organization's digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) program. This includes developing and implementing DFIR policies, procedures, and tools; leading incident response investigations; and providing guidance and support to the organization's technical staff on DFIR matters.

Role Responsibilities:
 

• Developing and implementing DFIR policies and procedures.
• Conducting Log analysis
• Take responsibility for forensic analysis of systems for evidence of compromise.
• Communicate technical findings and concepts to key stakeholders.
• Perform log analysis.
• Be involved with the team interfacing with Ransomware groups.
• Lead incident response investigations.

Ideal qualifications:
 

• 5+ years of experience in digital forensics and incident response.
• Proficiency with industry-standard forensic tools such as X-Ways, EnCase, Axiom, Falcon, etc.

• Experience with a variety of DFIR tools and technologies.

• Ability to interpret alert logs and network traffic to identify an attack pattern and recognize typical attack scenarios.
• The ideal candidate would hold relevant SANS certifications such as GCFA, GCIH, GCFE, GNFA.
