Contract Performance Tester We have an opening for a Performance Tester for a day rate contract (outside IR35) to work with an award winning software house in Northern Ireland. As a Performance Tester, your primary responsibility will be to assess and evaluate the performance, scalability, and reliability of software applications or systems. You will design and execute performance tests, analyze results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address performance issues.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning: Develop test plans and strategies for performance testing based on system requirements and objectives. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure test scenarios align with performance goals.
Performance Testing Execution: Design, implement, and execute performance tests using various tools and methodologies. This includes load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing to assess system performance under different conditions.
Performance Analysis: Analyze test results and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential areas of risk. Generate comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations.
Tools and Technology: Utilize a variety of performance testing tools and technologies to conduct tests, interpret results, and contribute to the improvement of existing testing procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience in performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Proficiency in using performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or others.
Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and identify performance bottlenecks.
Solid understanding of software development, system architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical information effectively.
Day Rate Negotiable depending on experience between £350 - 450 per day (Outside IR35)
