Enso Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading product company in Belfast as they search for a Product Owner to join them on a 12-month FTC.
Our Client are in the middle of going through a revamp of their product offering and require the help from a Product Owner to help with the on-going change happening in the organisation. You will work alongside a team of Product Owners and Product Managers, helping with product discovery and roll out of new product offerings.
Immediate start preferred
Offices are based in Belfast but you will work remotely most of the time.
You must be based in Northern Ireland.
Typical day to day:
Software systems business requirement analysis
Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms utilized.
Agile duties - clearing obstacles, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, addressing team dynamics, and ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team
Create high quality User Stories and acceptance criteria.
Produce timely and high quality work product requirements including specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes.
Lead Backlog Grooming/Refinement sessions.
Triage new requests and issues to determine if request is an immediate bug fix or enhancement that needs to be prioritized
Participate in feature/release Planning, Daily Stand Ups, Demos and Retrospectives
Work with clients and team members to identify, gather, and define requirements
Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
Create functional specification documents
Assist product owner with development effort estimates and product planning
Lead design sessions in prototyping new system
Lead system testing and system validation efforts
Create software acceptance criteria
Required Experience
Experience working on projects integrating systems using APIs.
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business
Basic understanding of Software Engineering Principles
Track record of successfully gathering and defining requirements
An inquisitive and innovative nature, integrity, willingness to step into new roles, laser-like focus on deadlines, team-focused mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and improving
Excellent written and verbal communication at both the business and technical level
Strong agile process familiarity
Software as a Service (SAAS) product experience is desired
Salary is offered up to £45k and there is a high possibility that this role will progress to a permanent full time position.
